In Zagreb on January 14, 2011. Croatian winemakers and relevant specialists in wine domain, business and economy, inaugurated Association of Winemaking. The principal goals of this Association are to brand Croatia as a wine country, to develop international strategy of Croatian wine business, to sustain growth and development of wine making in Croatia, to raise the wine culture in Croatia and insure strategic importance of this economic activity. In addition many tasks of newly created Association will be oriented toward harmonization of Croatian wine industry with the EC law and new models of financing and subsidies in European Union. On it’s first official meeting, members of Association elected it’s presidency. Mr Djuro Horvat was elected president of Association, mr Ivica Matošević, mr Ivan Ruzić and mr Vlado Krauthaker vice presidents, while treasury and marketing will be held by mr Igor Brarbarić and mr Saša Špiranec respectively.
