Undoubtedly one of the best Croatian singers of all time, Oliver Dragojevic whose abundant career lasts for about 40 successful years, was recently appointed as UNDP Godwill Ambassador whose main role will be to help spread the messages of the COAST project, both in Croatia and abroad. The COAST project as we introduced in our previous post strives to preserve the natural beauty and traditions of Dalmatia while securing livelihoods in tourism, agriculture, fishing and other sectors. Knowing the fact that Oliver is born on Korcula island, it is no surprise that the very first steps in his new ambassador’s task were done exactly in the part of Dalmatia to which he is closely related. Moreover it is no surprise either that he initially visited the first organic vineyards on island and agro-tourism facilities of Franko Milina Bire whose project goes perfectly in line with the idea of sustainable economic development in Dalmatia. Entire text on the ceremony and the project under the auspice of UNDP can be found on their official site and down below you can enjoy listening Oliver’s music with recent scenes from Frano’s vineyards and winery including visits to some other locations on Korcula island:
