Second Dalmacija Wine Expo held in Makarska during the April 29. and 30. showed new appearance of new bottles and labels from two Lumbarda Grk producers.
Milina Bire winery already presented it’s new Burgundy style bottle during last Zagreb Wine Gourmet, but this time bottle came in little bit darker version with new label clearly displaying this Grk Wine name overlapping lines of Greek alphabet that can also be found on famous Psefizm of Lumbarda, the oldest written document ever found in Croatia.
Cebalo Popić winery also brought some news. Since there are three Cebalo families among top seven Lumbarda winemakers it is sometimes confusing for customers and wine lovers to be sure which bottle comes from which winemaker. In this sense Zoran Cebalo decided to carry his business under new brand “Popić” which is also his second family name or more precisely his nick name. These nick names which often look like regular family names are frequently given in Lumbarda to better distinguish people from different families having same names.
